Maurice "Rueso" Webster, a man of many talents, stepped into the Los Angeles Hip-Hop scene that welcomed him with open arms. As an artist, dancer, writer and music producer, Rueso has climbed the ladder of the scene with strength and dedication. He has set afire the stages of The Key Club, Ivar, The Roxy, Avalon, The Mint, Club Lingerie and Clear and also appeared in the Aaliyah’s video, “4 Page Letter.”
Rueso has worked with many heavyweights in the industry. He founded his own independent record label in 2002, DMAO Entertainment, Inc. and will release his first independent album this year that he worked on with song writer and music producer Dwayne “Tezz” Morgan from The Outfit Entertainment LLC and Floyd “Flip Matrix” Wilcox of F.D.S. Productions, Inc. This album, The Phoenix “Outta Tha Ashes”, will feature hit singles “Uh Ooh” and “Last Call.” Rueso has also worked with Tommy Coster Jr., the co-writer of the chart-busting track “The Real Slim Shady” on superstar Eminem’s 2000 release, The Marshall Mathers LP. Rueso and Coster produced various projects together and celebrated song placements in the film The Luau. Rueso also had placements in Eddie Murphy’s Pluto Nash with composer John Powell, famous for his variety of scores in blockbuster films.
Rueso’s passion for Hip-Hop was fueled by his interest in performance art while growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He performed at local high school shows with a gang of Hip-Hop dance groups. His talent was soon cultivated as he became a well known and respected artist who produced standing room only shows across the mid-west. Rueso’s high energy will keep the dance floors pumping with his endless catalogue of hits that will redefine Hip-Hop forever.
